Synopsis
A confined space is any place such as a chamber, tank, pit or sewer that by virtue of its enclosed nature presents a foreseeable risk from hazard. By failing to follow important regulations on working in confined spaces employers are putting the lives of both their employees and contractors at risk. This video, using compelling dramatisation, shows how to prevent costly accidents, as it follows investigators making enquiries into the deaths of two contractors

It identifies potential hazards of working in confined spaces, and outlines the elements of risk assessments needed if employers or contractors have to enter a confined space.
