- In the beginning there was no space, time, matter or light. For us time begins at zero. This film showws, through computer animation, the cosmological theory that the universe originated billions of years ago from the violent eruption of a point source. Ultimately, the universe will disappear into the whirling forces of a black hole when time ends and everything can start again...from the beginning.
