Forgotten Voices of the Great War
- Synopsis
- In 1960 a team of academics, archivists and volunteers at the Imperial War Museum set about tracing WWI veterans and interviewing them at length in order to record the experiences of ordinary individuals in war. This collection includes interviews with verterans from Britain, Germany, America and Australia talking about life on and off the front line. Their stories have rested unheard for almost half a century, and nearly all of those interviewed have since passed away.
