Thomas Paine: The Most Valuable Englishman Ever

Synopsis
Kenneth Griffith tells the story of Thomas Paine, an 18th century Sussex customs officer who played a central role in both the American and French revolutions. Son of a Norfolk corset maker he wrote the immortal political tracts ‘The Rights of Man’ and ‘Common Sense’. He died alone, in poverty and ostracized as an atheist and free-thinker in America.
