Composed entirely of decaying nitrate-based archival footage drawn from nearly a thousand sources, this is a testament to the aesthetic beauty of decomposition. The haunting tapestry of partially-erased images testifies not only to the fragile nature of film but to the transience of all human endeavour. Accompanied by a soundtrack composed by Michael Gordon.
