Synopsis: Art critic Brian Sewell undertakes a personal pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela in Spain for one of the world’s largest religious festivals, in pursuit of a greater understanding of the relationship between art and belief. On the way he visits churches and cathedrals in Paris, Chartres, Orleans, Poitiers, Pons, Lourdes, Roncevalles, Burmeo, Bilbao, Burgos, Fromista, Leon and finally Compostela.
