Mother Courage
- Synopsis
- A 2-camera recording of a new translation of Brecht’s MOTHER COURAGE by Lee Hall, performed at the New Ambassador’s Theatre in May 2000 by Shared Experience. "What is a performance of MOTHER COURAGE primarily meant to show? That in wartime, the big profits are not made by little people. That war, which is a continuation of business by other means, makes the human virtues fatal even to their possessors" Bertolt Brecht. There is also an interview with Kathryn Hunter filmed on the stage of MOTHER COURAGE, about this and other work.
