Case for Special Measures, A

Synopsis
This video is intended to illustrate some of the special measures introduced in Part II of the 1999 Youth Justice and Criminal Evidence Act.

Using three different dramatised examples, the video shows how a better understanding of the witnesses capabilities and circumstances can lead to early identification of appropriate special measures - and achieve best evidence.

Detailed training notes provided with this video contain quick reference guides to advise which measures are appropriate for particular situations.
