Synopsis

The CD-ROM aims to help pupils’ conceptual understanding of scientific and technological processes and provide useful printable images. Includess virtual reality animations across the range of electrical and electronic, manufacturing, mechanical and pneumatic disciplines. Twenty basic components and key principles are covered. The manufacturing section covers nine areas including injection moulding, blow moulding, rolling and press forming. Also explained are compound gears, cams and followers as well as linkages and levers. The pneumatics section looks at single acting cylinder actuation, three port valves through to a typical application.
