- Gregory Doran’s film of his modern dress RSC production which opened at the Swan Theatre in 1999. This video version was specially shot for television broadcast at the London Roundhouse, using the original cast. Antony Sher and Harriet Walter are the Macbeths.

- The programme was preceded by a documentary THE REAL MACBETH in which presenter Tony Robertson visits Scotland to discover facts surrounding Macbeth.
The DVD also includes interviews with Antony Sher, Harriet Walter and Gregory Doran about the play, the production and their performances.
