Synopsis: This CD-ROM explores the history and scientific applications of geometry. Topics include Plato’s Geometrical Alchemy, Kepler’s Universe, Polyhedra and the Natural World and Buckminsterfullerine. The text is brought to life with interactive models and ray-traced animations. Designed to enhance the understanding of 2D and 3D geometry through ten fully interactive modules which describe the scientific applications of tessellations and polyhedra within a historical context.
