Eyes in the Skies

Synopsis

We are being watched. A bewildering array of sensors are remotely observing everyhting on earth, from crops in Africa to the car parked outside your house. Will these aerial observations help us to save the Earth, or is science beginning to see too far into our lives? The panel, chaired by Colin Blakemore and consisting of Robert Llewellyn, Robert Gurney, David Baker and Jacqui McGlade, discuss how satellite imaging has improved in the last fifty years, and its implications for privacy, earth observation and geosciences.
