Synopsis

The panel, chaired by Colin Blakemore and consisting of John Oxford, Richard Peto, Trisha MacNair and Mike Maier, discuss how lifestyle, old and emergent diseases, and recent developments in science, will affect longevity and the quality of life in the coming decades. They consider the threats from flu, new dangerous versions of old diseases, smoking and other lifestyle choices, and more exotic factors affecting lifespan.
