Hamish Fulton

Synopsis
theEYE is a series of interview-based profiles of contemporary visual artists in Britain. Each film provides a survey of an artist’s work and ideas, featuring the artist in discussion and illustrated by sequences of key exhibitions and installations around the world.

An introduction to the ‘walking artist’ Hamish Fulton whose photography and text pieces (painted directly on walls) are based on the experiences of his frequently demanding walks taken throughout the world. Based around his 2002 exhibition at the Tate, Fulton explains the motivations behind his work and its position in relation to both landscape and political concerns.
