Embarrassing Illnesses

Synopsis
EMBARRASSING ILLNESSES is a 4Learning series designed to bring into the open medical conditions that some people see as embarrassing. The series looks at illnesses that affect younger people, such as acne and Crohn’s, as well as exploring general medical conditions. The programmes feature a mixture of personal home life as well as hard-hitting footage from inside the operating theatre. Each programme features long-running narratives, following people through various forms of treatment, and offering short personal statements from people who have either learned to cope with or received successful treatment for the condition.

Five 25-minute programmes:

1. Testicular Cancer
2. Sexual Health
3. Skin
4. Periods
5. Bowels.
