We Never Give Up

Synopsis
A tapestry of stories told by ten survivors of apartheid violence, all of whom are still struggling today. These stories represent the harsh experiences of thousands of ordinary South Africans who participated in or who were excluded from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC). The storytellers are all members the Khulumani Support Group, Western Cape. They are involved in a protracted battle to hold the South African government accountable to its promise to pay final reparations. This documentary is the latest in a porfolio of work reflecting research in Ireland, Peru and South Africa.
