Complementary Childcare: Weight

Alternative title
Complementary Kids: Weight
Synopsis
A series originally shown on the Discovery Health Channel seeking to promote a greater understanding of the use of complementary therapies in treating a range of illnesses in children. Each programme deals with a specific illness and health practitioners, all belonging to recognised medical associations, are shown working with the case studies.
The series promotes the idea of helping children to strengthen their immune system at an early age for a healthy later life.

This programme looks at 2 case studies: a boy who was being bullied at school because of is weight has a diet designed by a naturopath, as well as receiving low-key counselling and a homeopathic remedy. A mother talks to a clinical nutritionist about how to encourage her children to develop healthy eating habits. With Dr Winnie Chan, a nutrition expert.
