Synopsis

A series originally shown on the Discovery Health Channel seeking to promote a greater understanding of the use of complementary therapies in treating a range of illnesses in children. Each programme deals with a specific illness and health practitioners, all belonging to recognised medical associations, are shown working with the case studies.
The series promotes the idea of helping children to strengthen their immune system at an early age for a healthy later life.

This programme features three case studies of children who have been treated with complementary therapies: 1) a two-year-old suffered from constant cattarrh and chest infections from the age of 6 months, culminating in her collapsing with suspected pneumonia. Antibiotics did not help but a homeopathic remedy has. 2) An infant receives colour puncture therapy as an alternative to yet more antibiotics for repeated ear infections. 3) A 7-year-old is shown undergoing a course of Chinese Medicine, including acupressure and Tui Na, for treatment of his persistent colds which go straight to his chest.
