Creates an impressionistic picture of life aboard HMS Eagle, using minimalist commentary, live sound and ingenious camerawork and editing. Shows various aspects of life on board the ship: men are woken from their bunks by the call hands; Sea Vixens and Buccaneers are launched; the Executive officer on his weekly inspection of messdecks; officers somersaulting over lines of arm chairs in the wardroom - part of the monthly ‘Saturday Night at Sea’; 849Ds COD.4 Gannet flies in the mail; issue of rum ration.
