Synopsis
The workplace can pose a risk, especially to those new to working situations such as young people on their first work experience attachment from school. Applying the right risk management techniques can greatly reduce the threat to individual health and safety. The HSE commissioned the package to raise awareness of risk concepts through guided discussion. The video is for use by teachers in schools and is applicable in training and induction situations for new young workers aged between 14 and 18.

This is a joint project between the Risk Education and Young Workers Teams to emphasise that understanding risk is an overarching key message applicable to all situations and of especial importance in new situations and environments.
