Jodorowsky Constellation the

Synopsis: A portrait of Alexandro Jodorowsky, born 60 years ago of Jewish parents who originated from Eastern Europe and found refuge in Chile. Beginning with his work in avant garde theatre, the film traces Jodorowsky’s many avenues of expertise. Founder of the "Panique" movement, performer of provocative happenings, mime artist, animator of the "Mystical Cabaret", and launcher of the "psycho-magic", he also directed such cult films as FANDO AND LIS, EL TOPO, THE HOLY MOUNTAIN and SANTA SANGE. Also investigates his comic strip writings the INCAL, ALEPH TAU, THE WHITE LAMA...) and tarot readings as well as the long in development/never realised production of DUNE. Features film extracts, drawings and extensive interviews with Jodorowsky as well as collaborators such as Marcel Marceau, Jean "Moebius" Giraud, Fernando Arrabal, H.R. Giger, Peter Gabriel and the martial arts master Jean-Pierre Vignau. The film also shows Jodorowsky performing readings in front of a live audience.
