Friends and Family

Synopsis
A resource that provides practical advice and information about mental distress. The video involves people in four different relationships talking through their strategies for surviving serious mental health problems. People with mental health problems and those who support them - parents, partners or flat-mates - talk about what they have found difficult, as well as how they have made their relationship work. None would claim to hve got it all right but they do have useful advice on how to keep communication going, strike a balance between concern and independence, work with professionals, and access the support available for carers.
