Successful Camera for Video
- Synopsis
- One of a series of six programmes covering different areas of video production. Each programme is delivered in sections punctuated with key point summaries.
This programme looks at the main functions of a modern camcorder and uses documentary and drama location examples to illustrate a range of situations. Different sections deal with focus, aperture, shutter speed, depth of field, and zoom functions. It also considers aspects of framing and image composition and looks at techniques such as ‘pull focus’ and ‘the trombone shot’.
The relationship between subject movement and movement of the camera are examined in the final section, which also introduces the notion of simple tracking and jib movements.
Each programme is supplied with a booklet. - Series
