- A portrait of Nusrat who produced a contemporary interpretation of the qawwali, the Moslem chanting song emanating from the belief of the Sufis. It comes from Pakistan and combines traditional Persian poetic texts with the Arab qaul,the Indo-Persian ghazal and the Hindu bhajan, built on the traditional structure of the râg and the tâl He also collaborated with avant-garde Western musicians. The DVD includes Nusrat’s concert at the Théâtre de la Ville in Paris, 1995.
