Front Room Fire, The (2001)

Synopsis
Shows what happens when a tea light containing two dead matches, pushed up against a television set, causes a fire in a typical front room. The room was designed with furniture complying to current regulations and contained a significant amount of electrical equipment such as a video, satellite box, videos and CDs, as well as candles which are increasingly evident in rooms. The fire took 18 minutes to reach its peak, compared with three minutes in the original 1989 video, which had polyurethane foam-filled furniture no longer available.
