How Are You Today?: The Risks of Asbestos in Buildings

Synopsis
Provides advice on undertaking a visual asbestos survey, preparing a location plan, and preparing and implementing a management plan. Also advises on the health risks associated with asbestos, the risks of unknowingly working with asbestos, and getting advice before working on material which may contain asbestos.

The video is in two parts:-Part One: Asbestos Awareness (16 mins) is aimed at workers in building related occupations and is the tragic and thought provoking story of Nick, a young builder, whose long term, cumulative exposure to asbestos causes his deterioration in health; Part Two: A Managers Guide (11 mins) is aimed at employers and building managers. It outlines the responsibilities of those in charge of premises that may contain asbestos.
