- Synopsis
- 1: Discusses autoimmune haemolytic anaemia and thyratoxicosis and fatal drug-induced immunosuppression. The post-mortem shows jaundice, obesity and striae in Cushing’s syndrome, Erythropoietic hyperplasia of femoral marrow in autoimmune haemolytic anaemia; thyroid hyperplasia (gross and micro) in thyrotoxicosis; myocardial hypertrophy; steroid-induced adrenocortical atrophy; Vertebral osteoporosis with crush fracture; Bronchus showing inhaled gastric contents.
