Synopsis
Focuses on Fred Amphlett, a 48-year-old man with Parkinson’s disease, whose medication has gradually lost its effectiveness. Follows him as he prepares for, undergoes and recovers from pioneering brain surgery in which a pea-sized piece of brain is removed, and which requires his being awake during the operation.
