High Performance Liquid Chromatography

Synopsis: Looks at the chemical analysis of organic compounds. In a solution known as the mobile phase, compounds are passed under pressure through a column packed with silica. They invariably separate because they pass through the column at different rates. By using computers it is possible to scale up the separation to produce grams of the purified organic compounds.
