Hidden Allergy, The

Synopsis
Investigates the two disorders that make up the syndrome of cow’s milk intolerance. Case histories illustrate the effect that an intolerance to cow’s milk can have on babies, young children and parents. It is recognised that in one of the two disorders, cow’s milk protein allergy, there is a strong link with family history of allergy. Animation and tables are used to present some of the factors which are involved in an intolerance to cow’s milk and its diagnosis, including slides which show the effect of an intolerance on the brush border of the gut wall.
