Hedda Gabler

Synopsis
A television version of the play, directed by Deborah Warner, first produced in Dublin in 1991 and then transferred to London’s West End. Hedda Gabler (Fiona Shaw) is a woman uncomfortably out of her time, who is determined not to be restrained by her husband Tesman’s (Nicholas Woodeson) bourgeois values. It is her determination that brings the play to its startling and brutal conclusion.
