Synopsis

An interactive tutorial for teaching the basic physiology of the heart. Covers the structure and function of the cardiovascular system, then the heart: gross structure, heart valves, histology, excitation, heart sounds, the cardiac cycle, and cardiac output. Students are required to label diagrams, interpret recordings of pacemaker cell action potentials and answer questions.
