Synopsis
Describes some of the most beautiful minerals in France, the modern methods of crystal growth and the commitment with which scientists are folllowing this regular structuring of atoms into that arrangement which gives the crystal its forms and properties. Charts the movements of atoms leading to the growth of crystals, using powerful microscopes. The film contains new results obtained in advanced European laboratories working with local probe microscopes on the crystal growth followed under ultra-high vacuum or electrochemical conditions.
