Synopsis

Follows the course of World War 1 using archive footage which covers the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand in Sarajevo, the mobilisation of troops, the invasion of Belgium, trench warfare, the first use of submerines and tanks, the Battle of Verdun, aerial warfare, and the singing of the armistice.
