Synopsis

Also looks into the future with a prototype paperless office and a new kind of library where 10 million words of text can be stored on one disk pack and relayed to readers by telephone and satellite. Investigates the implications of the technology and looks at the effect on democracy, national boundaries, language, bureaucracy and privacy.
