An introduction to Shakespeare and his times, focusing on the audience and actors in Shakespearean theatre and illustrating the historical context of the plays. Looks at what it was like to be in the audience in Shakespeare’s time and what people went to hear. Also illustrates what it was like to be an actor at the original Globe Theatre, focusing on the relationship actors had with their audience.
