Synopsis
The European Community contains some of the world’s most powerful economies and represents the developing world’s biggest export market. The film examines the existing relationship between the Community and the developing countries, focusing on the Lome Convention and associations with the African, Caribbean and Pacific countries. In the perspective of 1992 and the events in Eastern Europe, it asks whether the time is now right for the Community to formulate a global approach to development. Features interviews with leading figures in the field of development.
