Given a Voice...: Poor Urban Children in Accra

Synopsis
Looks at poor urban children in Accra, Ghana. In the fast-growing cities of Africa such as Accra, more and more children are living on the strets. Poor and neglected, and living under unhealthy and even dangerous conditions, they represent the future of these cities. No effort should be spared to provide and care for these children, to listen to their voices, to use their creativity and to enable them to participate in the community. Urban renewal is no possible without taking into account the needs and concerns of the poor children of the world’s cities.
