Synopsis
Selected 1940s archive film material tells the story of the airbases the aircraft, the bombing missions and the experience of the American serviceman in East Anglia during World War 2, with a commentary recorded by Roger Freeman. Film shot by the airmen themselves is combined with excerpts from official films including COMBAT AMERICA, KNOW YOUR ALLY BRITAIN and MEMPHIS BELLE.
