Getting Your Voice Heard

Synopsis
Explains the concept of advoccy, taking the day-to-day operation of a generic advocacy service in Merseyside as an example, and features individuals expressing their empowering experiences of the service that helped them to put their views across and get their voices heard. A question-and-answer session raises issues about the delivery of a service that avoids labellng, does not keep files, offers an open referral system and allows individuals to decide for themselves whether or not to get an advocate.
