Gene Therapy in the 21st Century

Synopsis
Two hours of video on CD-ROM, with text support and live internet links, featuring seven leading practitioners and thinkers in the field of gene therapy who contributed to a short video, sponsored by the Wellcome Trust, in Spring 2000 to inform public debate. The CD-ROMs contain the complete interviews given at that time by Donald Bruce, Charles Coutelle, Geoffrey Goldspink, David King, Norman Nevin, David Porteus and Robert Winston. It is not a programme as such, but a collection of primary source material. Areas discussed include the techniques, the potential applications, the difficulties, the alternatives, and the social and moral implications of gene therapy.
