Synopsis
Looks at the theory behind gas turbine cycles using studio animations and a schematic model. A visit to the CEGB Ironbridge Power Station shows how this is used in practice. Shows the working gas and steam turbines and an outage: the spectacular strip-down of the enormous turbine for maintenance.
