Examines self-advocacy and empowerment from the point of view of the service user. In 3 parts: 1) Ex-psychiatric patients voice their criticisms of mental health services and suggest more helpful approaches; 2) shows self-advocacy projects, empowerment initiatives and the view of service users and providers working together; 3) shows survivors of psychiatry running their own lives and services.
