Frida Kahlo
- Synopsis
- Portrait of the Mexican painter Frida Kahlo (1907-1954), wife of Mexican painter Diego Rivera, and the creator of highly personal work. Afflicted with illness throughout most of her life, Kahlo painted a striking series of self-portraits refelcting her physical suffering and passion for living. Her work was surrealist and idiosyncratic, combining fantastic and naive elements.
