Freddie Young Thinking Aloud

Synopsis
Freddie Young, film technician and award-winning director of photography recounts his life story charting the development of the cinema in England and the United States. His many anecdotes shed light on the practical problems and working conditions of the film-maker from 1917 to the present day. He photographed VICTORY, his first silent feature film, at age 26, and is associated with VICTORIA THE GREAT, GOODBYE MR CHIPS (1939), IVANHOE (1952), KNIGHTS OF THE ROUND TABLE (1953), and LAWRENCE OF ARABIA (1962), the first of three collaborations with David Lean.
