Synopsis
Uses interviews and archival footage to tell the story of Frank Lloyd Wright, whose architectural achievements were often overshadowed by his melodramatic lifestyle. Among the building featured are the Prairie houses, the Johnson’s Wax Building in Racine, Wisconsin; the Imperial Hotel, Tokyo; Fallingwater in Bear Run, Pennslyvania; the usonian houses; Taliesin, Wirght’s estate in Wisconsin’ and Taliesin West in Arizona, and the Guggenheim Museum in New York. Participants include Philip Johnson, Robert A M Stern, Maya Lin, Brendan Gill, Paul Goldberger, Edgar Tafel and Meryl Secrest.
