- Made to accompany the Francis Bacon retrospective shown at the Tate Gallery in 1985. The soundtrack is presented primarily by Bacon’s own commentary on the paintings. Bacon talks about his use of photographs as sources, the beauty of the meat laid out in Harrod’s food hall, the inspiration of poetry and classical literature. Focuses on the 36 panels that make up 12 of the major works.
