Synopsis
This issue of the Vichy newsreel released in June 1944 shows: 1) Franco meets Civil War veterans at Alicante; 2) Funeral of Patriach Sergins of Lithuania and Latvia after his murder by Bolshevik agents; 3) Anti-Bolshevik rally in a town square in Bohemia.; 4) in Paris Paul Marion addresses an indoor meeting under the presidency of de Brinon; 5) a report from the front admits that the fortifications in the Eastern Carpathians are threatened; 6) a report from the Normandy front states that the Americans have failed to break the German lines at St Lo while the British are also held at Tilly-sur-Seules; 7) at Vichy, Darnard and Laval review units of the security forces.
