Fontainebleau: The Changing Image of Kingship
- Synopsis
- Francis I employed Gilles le Breton to convert his favourite hunting lodge at Fontainebleau to a Royal palace, inviting to France such Italian artists as Rosso Fiorentino and Francesco Primaticcio to decorate it. The influence of their Italian mannerist style became a watershed in the cultural development of Northern Europe. Analyses the complex decorative imagery and relates the evolution of palace architecture to the changes in court life under successive monarchs.

At present the Open University Students Association (OUSA) will continue to sell the "Good Study Guide", and we are in discussion with other possible distributors to continue to make The Open University’s products available for purchase. As soon as we have any information on other channels of distribution we will update this notice’. Some products are still available via second hand dealers on Amazon.co.uk
