Follow the Yellow Cake Road
- Synopsis
- Britain is importing uranium, or yellow cake, from Namibia. This is forbidden by the United Nations and appears to support the illegal occupation of Namibia by South Africa. Anthony Wedgwood Benn claimed that during his time as Britain’s Energy Minister, a contract with Rio Tinto Zinc was switched without his approval from a source of supply in Canada to a mine in Namibia. RTZ denies this, saying that it had always been a Namibian mine.
